About this course

AISIT’s Communication Strategies course has been designed to provide industry-relevant training for individuals currently working in, or aspiring to work in, job roles that require knowledge and application of communication strategies.

Overview of the Course

  • Preparing for communication, identifying work activities requiring communication, establishing communication requirements, and clarifying communication objectives
  • Use communication strategies to provide work instruction, focusing on appropriate presentation methods to communicate
  • Facilitate workplace communication, focusing on using interpersonal skills to build relationships with team members and clients
  • Monitor and support team communication, focusing on ensuring all communication is consistent with legislative and organisational requirements

You will also learn:

  • How to identify the communication requirements for work activity and to assign roles to others to fulfil those requirements
  • How to select appropriate communication method/s for their relevant audience
  • How to articulate to others their roles in fulfilling the communication requirement
  • How to present and convey information to others, including backgrounds having been considered
  • How to demonstrate problem-solving techniques to negotiate and resolve communication challenges
  • How to evaluate the communication process and identify areas for improvement, reporting to relevant supervisors as required

Course Information

There are no pre-requisite entry requirements for this course.

It is expected a learner will complete the course within 3 months of commencement.

Fully Online

Delivered through interactive e-learning, supporting self-paced learning directly through AISIT's Learning Management System.

Non-Accredited Training

Upon the successful completion of all learning activities, AISIT will issue a Certificate of Completion.

Accredited Training

Upon the successful completion of all learning activities, and associated assessments for this course, you will be awarded a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for the following unit/s of competency:

  • BSBXCM401 Apply communication strategies in the workplace

This unit of competency may be credited towards the following nationally recognised training qualification, which is offered by AISIT:

  • LGA40120 Certificate IV in Local Government (Regulatory Control)

This course can also articulate into various Certificate III and Certificate IV nationally recognised training qualifications.
