About this course
AISIT’s Risk Management course has been designed to provide industry-relevant training to individuals who are currently working in or aspire to work in job roles that require knowledge and application of managing risks.
Overview of the Course
- Identifying risks, focusing on the context of risk management, undertaking steps to identify risks, and documenting identified risks according to legislation, policies, and standards
- Analyse and evaluate risks, focusing on analysing risks, undertaking risk categorisation and levels of risk, and documenting analysis processes and outcomes
- Treating risks, focusing on identifying control risk measures, assessing strengths and weaknesses of control measures, and selecting and implementing measures
- Monitor and review the effectiveness of risk treatments, focusing on reviewing implemented risk treatments, and results to improve the treatment of risks
You will also learn:
- How to identify different types of organisational risks
- How to consult with stakeholders to analyse and evaluate risks
- How to implement control measures
- How to refer risks to others that are beyond own area of responsibility
- How to maintain risk management documentation
Course Information
There are no pre-requisite entry requirements for this course.
It is expected a learner will complete the course within 3 months of commencement.

Delivered through interactive e-learning, supporting self-paced learning directly through AISIT's Learning Management System.
Non-Accredited Training
Upon the successful completion of all learning activities, AISIT will issue a Certificate of Completion.
Accredited Training
Upon the successful completion of all learning activities, and associated assessments for this course, you will be awarded a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for the following unit/s of competency:
- BSBOPS403 Apply Business Risk Management Processes
This unit of competency may be credited towards the following nationally recognised training qualification, which is offered by AISIT:
- LGA40120 Certificate IV in Local Government (Regulatory Control)
This course can also articulate into various Certificate III and Certificate IV nationally recognised training qualifications.
