FIELDS™ – Field Based Interviewing

About this course

FIELDS™ – Field-based interviewing solutions for law enforcement, regulatory and compliance officers.

Conducting a field-based interview is an essential part of any law enforcement, regulatory or compliance officer’s role. Field interviewing is a skill, no different to the skill of conducting a formal interview in a controlled environment such as an interview room.

However, unlike a controlled interview environment, field operators such as Council Rangers and Authorised Officers can generally only have minutes, if not seconds to prepare and conduct a field-based interview. Not only do they have to be across all of the essential elements of the offence they are investigating, but they also need to be conscious of the environmental and safety considerations as well as seeking to identify evidence that may exist.
