About this course

Our nationally recognised LGA40120 Certificate IV in Local Government (Regulatory Control) course gives you the qualification, relevant knowledge, and related practical skills you need to carry out regulatory and compliance work in local government settings.

This course is specifically designed for employees who conduct regulatory control and compliance in a local government setting. This nationally recognised qualification will train you how to monitor and manage areas under council jurisdiction, understand and use regulatory powers, investigate breaches of legislation, interview parties relating to an investigation, and prepare documentation when finalising an investigation.

AISIT delivers this course to individuals working in a regulatory and compliance role as an authorised officer as an in-house program or fully online.

    Course Information

    Prior to being accepted for this course:

    • You will be required to complete a Pre-Training Review at a satisfactory level.
    • You will be working in local government as an authorised officer.
    • You must be over 18 years of age.

    The overall course delivery program is 12 months part time.

    Online learning

    Online learning consists of e-learning and live webinars conducted by our trainers and assessors. The online course is delivered one unit per month, providing learners to attend a learning webinar followed by online learning and completion of assessment tasks.

    Assessment is a combination of online knowledge-based multiple choice and short answer questions and workplace-based assessment.

    All learning materials are accessed through our dynamic cloud based online e-learning platform via your PC or mobile App.

    Blended learning

    Delivered as an in-house program to organisations as group/team training. Minimum numbers required.

    Blended learning and assessments are completed through online e-learning modules, webinars, and face to face practical classroom/workplace-based assessment.
